A 45-Minute Conversation That Changed Everything

As the year comes to an end some people reflect on the events which have occurred in our lives.

For me, watching my boys turn from infants to toddlers and this year being in the audience watching their first Holiday Special at school, is a taste of the family milestones we will enjoy. I hope your reflections bring you joy as mine have.

I write this after speaking with a potential new client. She had owned and paid for a life insurance policy for 35 years and did not understand the asset she had. The original advisor had passed away and her previous instruction to cancel the policy had not happened.

We had a 45 minute conversation about the options she has now and how the life policy can help with her financial goals. She was elated to hear the positive news, owning a contract with so many options. That is the beauty of owning an asset which accumulates tax free and pays out tax free cash at death and gives you access to cash while alive.

She is learning English as a second language so was grateful for someone to take the time to help her understand her situation, especially when the terminology can be confusing.

This past year has given me context for why I am in this industry. I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives. How was your 2025?
